Nadia was born in Donbass and is a graduate of the Lviv Academy of Art (Ukraine). Due to the onset of war in Ukraine, Nadia immigrated to Florence, Italy, where she currently lives and works. It was there where she started painting in earnest. Nadia has participated in many painting exhibitions, including international ones. Her artworks are in private collections around the world.
"Art is revelation for me. It is born from air, ideas, dust particles glowing in the rays of the sun, the smell of fresh coffee, from an unexpected song or dropped phrase, from everything and nothing ... and from your presence, complicity, contact with all this. Gradually, I came to realise that I should just follow my thoughts and feelings."
Her art is at the meeting point of pointillism and modernism, imbued with impressionism and symbolism. The subjects of her works are diffused in a confetti of emotions, presented through captivating and vivid colours.
"Un tema declinato con una tecnica – un incrocio tra la scomposizione del colore tipica del pointillisme, i pixels delle odierne immagini digitali e i preziosismi cromatici di memoria modernista – che attribuisce alla scena un’atmosfera quasi magica, sognante, sospesa, rimarcando così il valore metaforico della rappresentazione. È nella luce il vero “mistero” di questi dipinti, nel modo in cui questa si divide in mille punti, dal bianco al giallo, dal verde all’azzurro, specchiandosi diventando tutt’uno.
La pittura è un fatto “corale” – sembra dire l’artista –, un’esperienza inclusiva che integra e accoglie nell’ottica della complessità. In questo modo, vengono a crearsi vere e proprie cortine di colori che imprimono dinamicità alla scena, suggerendo una sensazione di movimento continuo, di pulsazione costante, come mille luci che vibrano insieme."
